Here are a few photos, made over some years of time now. My first interest for photography actually started very young when I was a child, by looking into photo-albums of my parents rowing career...I started to develop them in the DOKA because I was convinced they could be printed better... I started to bring my camera to places when I started rowing myself and got fascinated by the drive of athletes; this was a basis for beautiful subjects. During travelling and sports (rowing, basketball, kitesurfen), I met most of my subjects. I did a series of dogsledge-racing in Spain ("Pirena") and I sailed for my work on one of the biggest pipelay ships to the Gulf of Mexico.

With athletes together we made a Basketball calendar to support the club (DAS, Delft). I received the 3rd prize of the Fotogram Trofee in 2009 (fotoacademie A'dam) with 'Sunbathing'.

I am currently working on a project 'LONDON CALLING', making portraits of athletes during endless trainings to reach their ultimate goal: winning in the Olympics of 2012 in London. It is really a privilige to work with them.

My work is done with a 6x6 Mamyia C220 and Canon EOS 20D and 5D (24-105mm F4 and 20mm F2.8).
